We always recommend a personal experienced hike guide for many reasons, to look after your safety, for their knowledge of the local area and their experience on the trails and routes, teaching you about the culture and history of your surroundings.
We work with a team of very professional, knowledgeable private hiking guides who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the Mallorca countryside and rugged mountain terrain. They will inspire you with their information on the areas that you will hike through and will be a welcomed lead as you explore and discover whilst on your journey. Our guides are registered mountain guides with the Consell de Mallorca.
Whilst hiking boots are not compulsory, it is recommended to wear flat comfortable shoes or trainers. Always carry water with you, wear a sun hat, bring sunscreen and take a light rain jacket and a light sweater incase of any weather changes, especially if you are hiking through mountain terrain. All of our hiking guides provide hiking sticks when required.
There is a hike for all ages and ability levels from relaxed walks to high intensity hikes.
There are many hiking trails on the island and we have listed our favourites below. Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll or to scramble up to one of the highest peaks, there is something for everyone.
The stunning Soller Valley hike is a wonderful relaxed hike, giving an overview of the valley and its beautiful surroundings.
Starting from the centre of Soller, your guide will take you to a stone rentador, an outside laundry which is still in use today. Next, head up through the orange and lemon groves to the hamlet of Binibassí, whose houses date back to the 16th century. Binibassí affords stunning views across the valley to Biniaraix. The path continues to ascend to the picturesque village of Fornalutx. On the way, the citrus trees make way for the terraces of olive trees, the main source of income for the valley in the 14th and 15th centuries. There were as many as 60 olive mills in the Soller area, now only 2 functioning olive oil presses remain.
There is the option to stop for lunch here at Restaurante Es Turo, which serves excellent local food, or to simply stop for a fresh orange juice in the square.
After a break, continue on a trail that zigzags up into the mountains to the start of the Aleppo pine forest, which marks your arrival at the highest point of the excursion, around 300 metres above sea level.
Begin the descent back into Soller, stopping to visit the ‘Sa Capelleta’ chapel along the way.
Following in the footsteps of the Archduke Luis Salvador, this is a spectacular ridge walk high above the rocky northern coastline.
This circular walk starts in Valldemossa, a beautifully preserved village, rewarding the walker with magnificent views over the western coastline and offers an insight into the life of one of the island’s famous residents, Archduke Ludwig Salvador.
Shortly after arriving in Valldemossa you will enter the Muntanya del Voltor, a preserved woodland and join the Cami de ses Basses. Pass onto land which once formed part of the Son Marroig estate of the Archduke and is now public land, then ascend a mountainside covered in holm oak trees with views over Valldemossa. The path continues to the Mirador de ses Basses, from where you will see the village of Banyalbufar and then descends into the Cairats Valley. Here you can see evidence of the people who once lived in the woods. There are the ruins of stone homes, a lime kiln and several charcoal hearths. Your guide will explain the significance and the history surrounding them. Near the top of the valley, pause at the cave of the hermit monk who lived there in the eighteenth century. There is the chance to explore inside the cave.
Shortly after, join the Archduke’s trail. The purpose-built stone path snakes around the ridgeline for nearly 2 km. It towers high above the cliffs offering unrivalled views to Port Soller to the north and Sa Foradada and Banyalbufar to the south.
The highest point reached on the path is the Puig es Caragoli at 945 metres. At the end of the ridge the trail winds its way down through a rocky lunar landscape and into the holm oak forest of the neighbouring valley, descending on old mule tracks.
By mid-afternoon you will complete your return to Valldemossa where you will have time for refreshments.

Dan’s passion for travel ignited at the young age of 16 when he embarked on a transformative journey to Madrid. Spending two months immersed in the vibrant culture and embracing the local way of life, he discovered a deep love for exploring the world.

Matteo has been connected to the world of music and events since he was a teenager.
In 1998, Matteo started playing at a club in Palma called Varadero; that’s when he began as a freelance percussionist.
His passion for music motivated his interest in the DJ world and he became a professional and successful DJ, working all over the Balearic Islands. He has worked at venues including Pacha, Titos, BCM, Mood and Anima Beach. He has also worked with large brands such as Canon and BMW, creating a fusion that today continues to evolve to transmit the best energy to the public, the energy of sound.
Working in the event sector for many years, Matteo is a dedicated music producer. Along with his knowledge, passion and creativity, he expertly coordinates and manages outstanding events and shows with staging, lighting, bands, musicians, dancers and unique acts with a great attention to detail, bringing it all together with high quality management skills and a true, genuine passion.
Clare grew up in the UK, with strong connections to the Performing Arts and Theatre Industry before choosing a career path in the Travel and Tourism Sector. Throughout those initial years working within the Hotel, Conference and Banqueting division before moving into Management.
Clare took time out to experience world travel for herself before retraining as an Executive Assistant in the Tech Industry, working for world leaders such as IBM and Pace Micro Technology and being an integral part of the companies Flotation.
Clare then merged industry with high end travel and real estate and moved to the USA where she worked within aviation and yachting
Twenty years ago Clare moved to Palma De Mallorca as VIP Manager for the Island’s largest real estate agency and property developer before launching her own agency located in the prestigious marina of Puerto Portals. Specialising in high end villas, vacations, management, lifestyle and concierge, successfully operating for 14 years.
More recently, opening a new division to the existing business within the wine Industry, sourcing and importing French wines to the Balearics, part of a personal passion project and fitting in perfectly with the current business model of My World VIP.
